Yellow Removals – Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all removal, relocation, and transportation services provided by Yellow Removals ("we", "us", "our") to the customer ("you", "the client").
By booking our services, you agree to be bound by the terms outlined below.
1. Services Provided
Yellow Removals provides house removals, office removals, item transportation, packing assistance, and related moving services as agreed at the time of booking.
Services are provided based on the details supplied by the client. Any changes may affect pricing and availability.
2. Quotes & Pricing
All quotes are based on the information provided by the client (volume, access, distance, number of items, stairs, lifts, parking, etc.).
Quotes may be fixed or estimated depending on the job.
Additional charges may apply if:
- The job exceeds the agreed time
- Extra items are added
- Access is more difficult than described
- Waiting time occurs due to client delay
Prices include labour and vehicle costs unless stated otherwise.
3. Booking & Payment
A booking is confirmed once agreed in writing (WhatsApp, email, or booking form).
Payment terms:
- Full payment may be required before or immediately after job completion.
- Same-day jobs may require upfront payment.
- Accepted payment methods will be communicated at booking.
- Late or non-payment may result in additional charges or refusal of future services.
4. Cancellations & Rescheduling
- Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled time.
- Late cancellations or no-shows may attract a cancellation fee.
- We reserve the right to reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances (vehicle issues, severe weather, emergencies). In such cases, we will notify you as soon as possible.
5. Client Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information about the move.
- Ensure items are ready for collection at the agreed time.
- Secure parking permits or access permissions where required.
- Pack items properly unless packing services are included.
- Disconnect appliances before the move.
Yellow Removals is not responsible for delays caused by incomplete preparation or restricted access.
6. Prohibited & Restricted Items
We do not transport:
- Hazardous materials (flammables, chemicals, explosives)
- Illegal goods
- Perishable food unless agreed
- Animals or persons
You must inform us in advance if moving fragile, high-value, or unusual items.
7. Damage & Liability
We take reasonable care during handling and transport.
Yellow Removals is not liable for:
- Pre-existing damage
- Poorly packed items packed by the client
- Minor wear and tear
- Items left unattended or not listed
Any damage must be reported on the same day of the move.
Liability is limited to the reasonable cost of repair or replacement, subject to proof.
8. Insurance
- Basic goods-in-transit cover may apply where stated.
- Full insurance coverage is the client's responsibility unless specifically arranged.
- We strongly recommend clients arrange additional insurance for high-value items.
9. Delays & Force Majeure
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our control, including but not limited to:
- Traffic
- Weather conditions
- Road closures
- Accidents
- Acts of God
10. Right to Refuse Service
We reserve the right to refuse or terminate service if:
- Unsafe working conditions exist
- Abusive or threatening behaviour occurs
- Non-disclosure of key job details is discovered
- Illegal or prohibited items are involved
No refunds will be issued in such cases.
11. Complaints
Any complaints must be raised in writing within 48 hours of service completion. We aim to resolve issues fairly and promptly.
12. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
